Cascading water constantly collects airborne contaminants and carries them into the cooling system.
Suspended solids cause reduced heat transfer efficiency, shortened equipment life, and increased pumping costs.
In small systems with low flow rates, a filter can be placed directly on the tower outlet to handle the entire flow. For large systems with higher flow a more economical strategy is to employ side stream filtration that continuously filters only a portion of the total water volume.
For cooling tower water, we recommend the AFR-Series Backwashing Pressure Filter Systems.
