Amine sweetening units generally require media with retention's of 10-25 microns. For the elevated temperatures and pressures experienced in these systems, 10-25 micron single-layer woven wire, 316 stainless steel screens are usually recommended.

Amine filtration should occur downstream of the heat exchanger and pump, as well as before and after the carbon column.

The MAX-LOAD cartridge is a good filtration choice for lean amine filtration.

If disposal issues are a concern, a backwashing REACTOGARD filter is recommended. Slotted wedge wire, wire mesh, and Polypropylene and Dacron fabric media are available for this challenge.
